GreenPharm Dandelion Tincture

Dandelion tincture is a liquid herbal extract of Taraxacum officinale, grown on our smallholding north-east of Pretoria without pesticides. Concentrated tincture in a 50 ml bottle.

Traditional uses

Dandelion is one of the best-known bitter herbs in European herbal tradition. It has traditionally been used to support appetite and digestion, including occasional feelings of fullness and bloating, and as a mild diuretic to increase the flow of urine. Traditional use does not guarantee effectiveness, and this product is not a treatment for any liver, gallbladder, kidney or other disease.

How to use

Follow the directions on your product label or the advice of a qualified healthcare professional. The appropriate dose depends on the preparation and concentration. Bitter herbs are traditionally taken shortly before meals in a little water. If symptoms continue for more than two weeks, see a healthcare professional.

Safety and cautions

Do not use if you are allergic to plants in the daisy family (such as ragweed, chamomile, marigold or chrysanthemum), or if you have gallstones, a blocked bile duct or another gallbladder condition. Ask a healthcare professional before use if you have a stomach ulcer or kidney condition, take diuretics, lithium, blood thinners, diabetes medication or antibiotics, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are considering giving it to a child. May cause heartburn or an upset stomach; stop use if this happens.
